Working principle and structure: This instrument is based on the principle that gas passes through a powder compression bed under stable air flow. The gas transmission rate is affected by the particle size, shape of the powder and the effective porosity of the bed. When the shape and porosity of the powder are known and its permeability is measured, the particle size and various specific surface areas of the powder can be calculated.
The instrument is composed of an air pump, a dryer, a water column pressure stabilizer, a vertical pressure gauge, a vent valve, a sample tube, a powder compression device, a sample tube clamping device, a U-shaped pressure gauge, a precision valve, a vernier caliper and an instrument calculation panel, etc.
Instrument Introduction and Application scope:
The transmissive particle size analyzer (average particle size analyzer) is a device used to determine the specific surface area and particle size of metal, non-metal and their compound powders. It can be widely applied to the determination of particle size and specific surface area of various powders in powder metallurgy, fine chemicals, silicate industry, food, pharmaceuticals, nuclear industry, and surface technology.
This instrument has a simple structure and is easy to operate. It is equipped with a quick calculation board, eliminating the need for complex calculations. A single measurement only takes 3 to 5 minutes. The measurement method employed by this instrument is the "air permeation method", which is in accordance with the national standards for determining the specific surface area and particle size of metal and compound powders :GB11107-89 /GB 3249-82/GBT 11107-2018/GB3249-2009 and the international standard :ISO10070-91.
The instrument is equipped with a quick calculation board, eliminating the need for complex calculations. It can directly read the particle size value and is very convenient to operate.
